Samson Olatunde, founder of Knowledge Digest Africa (KDA), has urged business owners across Africa to leverage technology to grow their businesses.

Olatunde’s company, a unique digital knowledge banking platform, recently received an award as one of the country’s 100 Fastest Growing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in 2023.

Speaking in Lagos, recently after receiving the BusinessDay Top 100 Performing SMEs 2023 award, Olatunde said African businessmen must do more to leverage technology to grow.

“This year we added new features, but in 2024 we are working diligently to further improve content as we have seen our audiences evolve. So, in response to these needs, we will continue to improve the site with more robust digital content, tailored to the needs of young people, career professionals and entrepreneurs,” he said.

According to him, KDA is Africa’s most diverse knowledge sharing and learning platform, where people from diverse backgrounds converge to connect, educate and empower each other on trends and possibilities in the technology for the future of work and business in Africa to maintain global relevance.

“The project aims to create Africa’s largest single digital knowledge bank by African founders for African businesses, while creating timeless, easy-to-digest content for the next wave of business leaders to create wealth transgenerational and lasting relevance,” Olatunde said.

Olatunde, who has worked in the technology industry for the past 15 years, founded Knowledge Digest Africa to bridge the gap between digital information and businesses across the continent. Additionally, KDA has been consistent with downloadable digital content, reaching over 1,000 views daily.

“With this award it clearly shows that what we started a few years ago is working and people are seeing the value propositions we bring. But one thing you need to understand is that we will continue to aim high until people adopt KDA as their digital bank of information,” Olatunde said.

Olatunde, an alumnus of Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, is a certified life coach in the UK, a management consultant in Canada and a small business consultant in Texas, USA.

Synonymous with equipping young Africans, he regularly organizes his “Digital CEO Tribe” and the African Community of Digitally Savvy Professionals. It also hosts the Digital Wealth Creation Summit, which exposes attendees to legitimate digital wealth creation channels and future of work opportunities.

Through the Digital CEO Tribe, Olatunde champions his vision to help businesses in sub-Saharan Africa and beyond improve their performance and profitability, while leveraging 21st century digital tools.

Meanwhile, over the years, Samson Olatunde, responsible for executing digital marketing campaigns for brands across different sectors, has seen him travel across the continent offering strategic advice to startups.

In his new drive to empower startups through his professional skills, he founded the Samson Olatunde Foundation, which aims to become the leading solutions NGO in Africa with a mandate to transform Africa through education and enterprise using ICT.
