In the past, BABAs relied on manual and administrative processes for recruitment and authorization of employee leave processes, involving multiple approvers and various departments for approvals, resulting in laborious and time-consuming procedures. This inefficiency has deterred potential candidates from considering opportunities at BABA, causing vacancies and preventing the organization from maximizing its chances of attracting the region’s top talent. Delays in approving leave have also created difficulties for employees, preventing them from taking their planned vacation on time or, in some cases, taking leave before even receiving the necessary approvals.
After implementing SAP SuccessFactors, onboarding and employee leave requests and approvals are processed more efficiently. SAP SuccessFactors enabled BABA employees across all its countries of operations to request leave online, enabling timely approvals and eliminating manual leave request forms and written approvals. Employee onboarding has also improved.

Additionally, now that the payroll system has been integrated with SAP SuccessFactors, BABA’S has seen an increase in more accurate reporting, which has helped reduce the time employees spend on manual tasks and allowed them to perform more strategic work. Meanwhile, through the Mobile Clocking application integrated into the solution, outpost employees can register their attendance from anywhere in Malaysia to get approval from their remote supervisors and be automatically processed by SAP Payroll for disbursement .
