BDB Pitmansa law firm with offices in Reading and Southampton, acted as advisor in two travel transactions, one for an independent tour operator and the other for a bespoke tour operator.
In the first transaction, BDB Pitmans advised Magnum Quinque Limited on its acquisition of the entire issued share capital of the owner-managed tour operator, Africa and beyond.
The financials of the deal are not yet disclosed. Managing Director Richard Russell and Sales Director Jamie Taylor will remain employed by Africa & Beyond once the project is complete.
Formed in 2007 by husband and wife duo Richard Russell and Charlotte Howell, Africa & Beyond specializes in organizing holiday experiences in Africa, the Indian Ocean Islands and the Middle East.
The company has employees located in the United Kingdom as well as Cape Town, South Africa. Richard has 20 years of experience in travel planning, taking over from his father before him, who worked in the industry for over 40 years before retiring.

Artisan, founded by Ali and Kate McLean in 2002, is an independent bespoke operator with several travel brands including The Aurora Zone, the UK’s only holiday company exclusively dedicated to Northern Lights travel.
