In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the global cybersecurity space, CyberSafe Foundation Founder and Executive Director Confidence Staveley has been awarded the Cybersecurity Woman of the World, 2023 Award.

This award, which highlights the extraordinary work of pioneering women in the field, aims to encourage more women to pursue careers in cybersecurity.

The Cybersecurity Woman of the World Edition is a collaborative initiative of the United Cybersecurity Alliance, OSP Cyber ​​Academy and Cyber ​​News Global, which strives to bring together experts, organizations and individuals from around the world entire to build the strongest defense against cybercriminals.
Staveley emerged the winner from a field of around 160 different women from cybersecurity associations around the world, including past winners of the Cybersecurity Woman of the Year awards.

By drawing attention to the exceptional work of women in the field of cybersecurity, this initiative aims to inspire and encourage more women to pursue careers in this field, closing the gender gap and driving innovation and creativity.

“This award is a huge recognition for Staveley, who is Africa’s most celebrated female cybersecurity leader. She is also a talent developer, global speaker and advocate for inclusion. She has earned numerous professional certifications and industry recognitions. Staveley is an official member of the Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs and technology leaders. She has been recognized as the Cybersecurity Woman of the Year in 2021 and 2022, the International Security Journal Influencer in 2023, LinkedIn’s Top Voice for Gender Inclusion, and is a Top 50 Women in Cybersecurity in Africa, among others,” Marsh said.

She added that the Staveley Prize serves as a beacon of inspiration for future professionals and challenges existing stereotypes. “It recognizes excellence in cybersecurity and highlights the significant impact of women in defending our digital landscape,” she stressed.
