Today, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan, HE First Lieutenant General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
Presidency Spokesperson Advisor Ahmed Fahmy said President El-Sisi stressed that Egypt will continue its firm and supportive policy towards Sudan at all levels, especially in the current delicate circumstances that it crosses, taking into account the eternal links and the common strategic interest which characterize it. two brother countries share, both at the official and popular level.
Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Al-Burhan, appreciated Egypt’s fraternal, sincere and strenuous support in preserving the unity, security and stability of Sudan, including by welcoming Sudanese citizens. He noted that Egypt’s efforts constitute an extension of the effective and valued Egyptian role throughout its regional milieu.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and exchanged views on issues of common concern.
