The Basa Awards celebrate South Africa’s culture, diversity and shared values while highlighting the crucial role of public-private partnerships in promoting artistic expression and solving pressing social and economic challenges .

“There is a unique power that comes from deep collaboration between the right partners. Partnerships are like DNA: they carry the code of shared values, common goals and the potential to create something remarkable,” says Ashraf Jacobs-Johaardien, CEO of Basa. “As we celebrate this year’s finalists, we are also delighted to welcome new partners for the Basa Awards themselves.

“The threads that weave successful partnerships are both intricate and complex, but the more than 320 winning business and artistic partnerships recognized to date by the Basa Awards demonstrate that the successful fusion of creativity and strategy can deliver results extraordinary.”
