CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa 2020 Bootcamp follows the success of the first Catapult Inclusion Africa Bootcamp, organized in November 2018, where 11 selected African Fintechs benefited from a tailor-made program aligned with the sustainability objectives of the Luxembourg financial center with the aim of Fintechs to develop their activities and achieve their inclusion objectives.

CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa 2020 is a one-week training and networking Bootcamp, organized in Luxembourg between March 1 and 8, 2020, for 12 Fintech companies working to improve financial inclusion in Africa. The program is run in English. Travel and accommodation costs of participating Fintech companies will be covered.

The main objective of CATAPULT Africa is to support promising Fintech startups for financial inclusion and help them move to the next stage of their development in Africa and Europe.

Alongside the focus on startups, the bootcamp will support the promotion of the Fintech theme for financial inclusion to the wider responsible finance sector in Luxembourg and beyond, to include PFIs, MFIs, asset managers funds,
Philanthropists, consulting and support firms. The aim is to highlight and promote potential synergies, collaboration and partnerships between participating Fintechs and these institutions.

Finally, the bootcamp aims to promote and draw attention to the importance and value of Fintech for financial inclusion, through local and international media exposure, with the aim of attracting wide attention to the initiatives that lead to positive change in Africa. 7 of the 12 startups in last year’s cohort were from Africa.
