The Great Migration is a year-round journey of animals migrating across northern Tanzania and southern Kenya. Nearly two million animals move across the Serengeti and Mara plains in search of fresh grass, food and water. As they travel nearly 800 kilometers in a migratory loop, wildebeest face multiple dangers – such as predators and lack of food – on their long journey north. Below you can follow the movements of the wildebeest throughout the migration by clicking on the arrows to the left and right of the maps!
