Hundreds of Kenyan doctors demonstrate in support of strike against working conditions

Hundreds of hospital doctors joined a protest in the streets of Kenya’s capital Nairobi on Tuesday as a nationwide doctors’ strike approaches its fourth week. Members of the 7,000-member Kenya Doctors, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) have been on strike since March 13 to demand better salaries and working conditions, disrupting healthcare in the 57 public hospitals in the country.
