CAIRO, Sept 18 (Reuters) – Nine soldiers were killed or injured in an accident on the outskirts of Cairo, the Egyptian army spokesman said on Monday.
The casualties, including officers and other military personnel, came after a military truck loaded with ammunition “suddenly overturned” during planned training activities south of the 10th city of Ramadan, said the spokesperson, Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafez.
