The daa Board of Directors has announced that following an intensive selection process, with strong interest from strong internal and external candidates, Peter Dunne will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Catherine Gubbins who will leave the company in the new year.

Peter will join Daa from United Oil and Gas plc, a UK-listed natural resources company, where he has been CFO since 2022.

Prior to this, he spent the majority of his career in senior management positions within several listed companies in Ireland and the UK.

This includes three years as Group Finance Director and Company Secretary at Origin Enterprises plc, a publicly listed Irish multinational agricultural services group, and seven years at Petroceltic International plc, an Irish and UK listed oil and gas company, with operations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He Dunne studied economics at UCD and qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1999.

Kenny Jacobs, CEO of daa, said: “Peter brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leading high-performing finance teams across multiple industries.

Through his roles, he has gained significant experience in strategic implementation, debt structuring, corporate finance, investor relations and corporate governance, in an environment where strong customer engagement stakeholders is essential.

This is an exciting new opportunity for Peter, and I know he is very much looking forward to becoming a member of the daa leadership team when he takes up his role in 2024.”
