South Africa’s ruling ANC sees support drop to 45%, survey finds

Support South AfricaThe ruling African National Congress has been in decline while the main opposition party, the Democratic Alliance, is gaining popularity, a survey shows.

The ANC would likely get 45% of the vote and the opposition Democratic Alliance 31% in a national election, according to a Social Research Foundation survey of 1,412 registered voters this month. This compares to 52% and 24% respectively in a March survey.
