The Big X (Twitter) mistake with monetization and the rigged X engine optimization problem

X (yes, Twitter) is broken. It’s broken because people rigged the monetization system. In the past, I used to leverage my business searches on Twitter, where I could type something and get opinions on that topic.

But today, the results I obtain are completely unrelated to my research. For what? They have taken XEO (X Engine Optimization) to a new level. Simply, you can write any nonsense trending and hashtag so that when people search for those trends, you appear in search, and by posting in search, if you are a monetized account, you earn money when these visitors see ads!

So, consider this tweet or whatever it’s called now: “We’re heading to Umuahia tomorrow for the #Obama Biden Ukraine INEC group meeting…”. You can list and tag unrelated items that are trending at that time. Now when people search for “INEC”, this message appears. Note that this post has nothing to do with INEC.

Why does this happen? Incentives. People want more visitors for those who monetize their accounts, and they make noise in the platform to generate traffic. Without this money, this would not have happened. They would have focused only on the Umuahia hashtag! Elon Musk and his team need to resolve this issue because his research is on hold.
