The road there
From Durban, traveling north on the N2, The Hatchery states on its website “N2 bridge countdown – we are halfway between bridges 8 and 9” from Durban.
Do you feel like they’re a little cranky, a little off, with a few screws loose? Us too and we totally love it! We are obsessed with The Hatchery. The spot, the website, the people, everything, School girl scream!
PS The instructions can also be found on the contact page and are worth reading. You won’t get lost and you will definitely smile.
We had just added the Suzuki Jimny to the family and decided to take it for its first highway trip, which meant two separate cars. Although Des Sol gave us a little extra space with their Gen 4 roof racks ( Des Sol Gen 4 roof rack ), accommodating three adults and two children would have been a huge problem, so the niece’s mother and RM followed in convoy. The Jimny cruised the dirt roads like the perfect 4×4 machine that it is and yes, so did the Mitsubishi ASK and the polo that passed us, the Renault. Hell, you can practically get there on a Vespa. The only part that can be tricky is just as you enter camp as there is a bit of a steep incline/climb, but like I said a polo did it so take it slow and regularly and you are ready to have the best stay ever.
PS They also have a really cool Jimny, so extra bonus points for those guys.
