The Nigeria Innovation Summit 2023, which held on October 6, 2023 with the theme: Innovating for the Future, concluded successfully with the participation of delegates and stakeholders from around the world, who participated in the hybrid event.
The Summit, now in its 8th year, is an annual event that brings together stakeholders from different sectors of the Nigerian economy, governments, investors, policy makers and players in the technology and technology ecosystem. innovation to discuss revolutionary ideas, trends and opportunities to innovate. solving unique challenges in Nigeria and the African continent as a whole.
This year’s NIS explored topics such as Digital Opportunities for Young Africans in Today’s World; Fostering a thriving startup ecosystem through partnerships and collaboration; Digitalization and the future of business; Transforming the industries of the future with AI and emerging technologies; Digital Assets and the Future of Paymentsamong others.
The highlights of the summit were the Nigeria Innovations Experience Talks (NiX Talks), organized by TotalEnergies. The NiX Talks focused on green and clean technology and the future of energy.
Other elements of the summit were fireside chats, roundtable discussions/interactive sessions, VR games, innovation showcases and exhibits, and expert insights on emerging technologies and their applications to solve local problems.

The Nigeria Innovation Awards recognize and reward key innovators at the forefront of the Nigerian innovation landscape, as well as disruptors bringing positive and empirical impacts as well as progressive solutions to unique challenges.

Among the hundreds of nominees for the Nigerian Innovation Awards 2023, only eight organizations and individuals emerged as worthy recipients of this year’s awards, given their impressive track record of innovative problem-solving and measurable impacts to sustain the sustainability of the Nigerian innovation landscape, and have embraced innovation to move Nigeria forward through their works. And for the first time, people presenting creative and innovative works in the fields of technology, art and entertainment were recognized.

The Nigeria Innovation Summit 2023 brought together delegates from government agencies, diplomats, academic communities and research institutes, international organizations, investors, entrepreneurs, thought/business leaders, innovators, startups and students.
NIS 2023 concluded with an Innovation Roadshow at the Zinox Tech Experience Centre/Cisco Lab, where we deepen the conversation and relationships with those who are bringing true innovation and disruption to the Nigerian innovation ecosystem .
