For dinner, you can choose to dine at Tryn or Bistro Sixteen82 (the latter named after the year the farm was founded) and both are on-site restaurants on the farm. The Bistro is approximately 1 km from the main hotel, but staff are always available to transport you in the latest Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles or in one of the golf carts, but a leisurely stroll is also very pleasant as the farm is very pleasant. picturesque.

We decided to have our evening meal at Bistro 1682 per the Steenberg team’s suggestion. All dishes are tapa style plates and all dietary needs are easily met. I don’t eat red meat and found a wide choice of dishes, there is also a separate vegetarian menu. Luckily we had a reservation because Vibey Restaurant was sold out, so I highly recommend asking your travel advisor to pre-book this dinner. The service was smooth, attentive and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The team shared that the restaurant recently underwent a renovation and the interior is truly beautiful. One of my favorite dishes was the mussels in coconut broth and my husband loved the pork belly. We both loved the delicious corn fritters.

The tapas menu changes as the chefs use seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The team is led by Executive Chef Kerry Kilpin and the menu nods to Asian flavors and styles.

Do yourself a favor – and make sure Bistro 1682 is on the list of restaurants where you can enjoy it!

Breakfast is served at Tryn Restaurant, but you can also choose to eat at Bistro Seize82. We chose to try Tryn in the morning after our wonderful dinner at the Bistro the day before. The breakfast menu is a la carte with a wide choice of dishes, from banana pancakes to king salmon roe, and they also bring the most delicious freshly squeezed orange juice to your table. During our stay in the winter there was a roaring fire, but in the summer I can imagine sitting in their large courtyard which also overlooks other vineyards and starting the day leisurely enjoying the wonderful view!
