Since Apple launched its highly anticipated mixed reality headset last Friday, some users have contacted Apple Support to find out what to do if they find themselves locked out of their Vision Pro after entering the wrong passcode too many times . Bloomberg first reported.

Response from Apple support staff: Take the Vision Pro to Apple Store Support – or mail it to AppleCare – so the headset can be erased and reset.

“I’ve tried entering the password I thought I set this morning multiple times, but at this point I’m now stuck for an hour,” one Vision Pro user wrote in a post. Apple Discussion Forum on on the day of its release. “Is there a method to reset the Vision Pro when the login password is forgotten? »

Users who forgot their password wrote that Apple Support didn’t know how to fix the problem. Some wrote online that they waited between an hour and an hour and a half to speak to an Apple representative.

“I called Apple Support and they don’t know how to reset it either. They are calling a local store on my behalf to see if anyone knows,” wrote one person who claims to own a Vision Pro. Reddit last Friday.

After finally contacting Apple, representatives suggested users bring their headsets into the Apple Store, according to the forums.

Apple did not immediately respond when asked if a future software update would allow Vision Pro users to reset their passwords themselves.

According to Bloomberg, Apple Vision Pro customers are also contacting Apple support staff after having difficulty setting up Optic ID – a feature that scans a user’s eye to unlock the device – as well as the device’s own app Apple Music from the headset.

These problems with the Vision Pro appear to be the first to appear since Apple’s shiny version.

First impressions of the Vision Pro were mixed. Some technicians who demonstrated the headset in the store said they were shocked — and almost moved to tears — by its spatial computing capabilities such as immersive entertainment. Others complained that the helmet was too heavy and they had to take it off to let their face breathe.

Business Insider’s Jordan Hart tested the device and said the Vision Pro’s immersive viewing feature blew her away, although the headset started to feel heavy after use.
