The Democratic Front for an Inclusive Election (FDPEI) has just filed an appeal with the Supreme Court to annul the decree summoning the electorate for the March 24 election. The collective, which was represented by Mamadou Diop Decroix, Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, Mayoro Faye, Mouhamed Ben Diop and other robbed candidates, reminded the press that everything was notified to the registry of the supreme court.

“We have just filed our petition before the Supreme Court to challenge this decree which betrays electoral law. The president of the republic had to comply with the spirit of this law. We cannot allow this failure to happen. We have invited the Supreme Court to annul this decree,” said the spokesperson for the collective, which denounces a sham election towards which the 19 candidates are heading. For Mamadou Diop Decroix, “it is not a question of going at all costs towards an election which is basically biased”.
