The request filed by elements of the Pds supported in this by a few rejected is still in the judicial circuit. After announcing their desire to oppose the decree of President Macky Sall summoning the electorate to a presidential election which will be held on March 24 and without the presence of Karim Meïssa Wade, blocked for dual nationality, the Senegalese democratic party seems determined to prevent the Senegalese to vote for this presidential election on the due date.

This Wednesday, the Supreme Court, which looked into the request for abbreviation of deadlines filed by Lamine Thiam, Karim Meissa Wade, Mayoro Faye and company, authorized the applicants to summon the State for a hearing scheduled for this Friday, March 15, 2024 from from 9 hours. If at the end of this hearing, the Court agrees with the PDS, this risks signaling the end of the presidential campaign and a return to another date.
